As she wound her way through the reed grass, she looked down at her toes and saw a silver swish of a snake. It moved easily like liquid.
"Pardon me, I didn't mean to startle you," said the snake, "I'm in a hurry to meet up with a friend." She wasn't startled at all but was in awe of how the sun reflected on his skin so brightly.
She responded, "I'll give you a ride on my shoulders if you like." The polite snake agreed and wrapped himself on her neck for the ride.
